L’Artémise works with local producers wherever possible and uses exclusively fresh seasonal produce of the highest quality. All dishes are prepared by our Chef with the aim to bring out the best of their ingredients.

From 4 September 2017 to 31 March 2018, the restaurant will be opened every evening except on Sundays and Mondays evening.

Holidays for 2017: from 27 August to 3 September and from 23 December to 30 December.

Julien Lavandet was born on 29 January 1983. He grew up in Uzès.

He discovered cooking at the age of 16 during a summer job. He starts his internship. Wanting to discover new tastes he travelled and worked abroad (St Barthelemy, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, Mauritius, French Antilles).

At the age of 22, after he meeting Jennifer Henriksen (who will later become his wife and mother of his two children), he decides to come back home where he still has close links.

In 2006, they open their first restaurant in St Maximin (few kilometers from Uzès) “La Table 2 Julien”. A bistro that soon became a gourmet restaurant. Six years later, they moved to Montaren to open “La Table 2 Julien”.

Through the past ten years, Julien and Jennifer have improved their “savoir faire”, worked with a solid network of excellent producers and staff.

2017 is a new challenge at l’Artémise! For Julien and Jennifer, who fell under the charm at their first visit, l’Artémise who gives them their everyday inspiration.
